Teams can have their own "portals" containing all the information relevant to them. The content of these portals, along with access to that content, is managed by a simple web interface. Deployments of Windows SharePoint Services are growing fast, as this technology is easy to implement at the departmental level. Organizations must control these deployments -- without smothering innovation -- or face WSS chaos. Windows SharePoint Services enables users to create team sites to collaborate on documents.
